Established in 1987 by Jeff Loos, Dixie Crane Rental began operating as a taxi crane service with two boom trucks. Over the following years Jeff continued to grow his business from those two cranes, servicing mostly residential construction in their early years, to servicing all segments of construction and maintenance projects with a fleet of Boom Truck and Trucks Cranes, ranging in size from 15 ton capacity up to 90 ton capacity.

Through a strategic partnership with General Steel Crane & Rigging, LLC in 2023, Dixie Crane has obtained the availability of a robust fleet of modern cranes to help service their customer base. Jeff Loos and Dixie Crane now have the capability to supply their customers with a fleet of over 50 cranes ranging in size from 15 Ton boom truck all the way up to 500 Ton All Terrain Cranes.
